Lynchian

After making "Through the Velvet Glass", I realised that there is so much more from the Lynchian universe that deserves some attention. As it is, some of the Twin Peaks lore and a few other things are included. The 'album' will probably expand some more over time.

Laura
(Whispers) Laura...

Shadows dance on the Douglas firs, a silence deep and wide
A perfect face, a gentle girl, where did the darkness hide?
The river whispers secrets low, the wind begins to keen
A town of dreams and hidden fears, a tragedy unseen

Oh, Laura, Laura, ghost in the mist
A scream unheard, a final kiss
Wrapped in plastic, lost and gone
The heart of Twin Peaks, forever drawn
To a mystery, a sorrow's sigh
Beneath a weeping, troubled sky

The diner buzzes, coffee steams, the pie is sweet and warm
But underneath the surface calm, a brewing, silent storm
A father's grief, a mother's pain, a lover's broken vow
Each whispered word, each knowing glance, unraveling somehow

Oh, Laura, Laura, ghost in the mist
A scream unheard, a final kiss
Wrapped in plastic, lost and gone
The heart of Twin Peaks, forever drawn
To a mystery, a sorrow's sigh
Beneath a weeping, troubled sky

The red room beckons, shadows play, a twisted, haunting game
The truth lies buried, deep within, whispering your name
A tapestry of innocence, and darkness intertwined
The beauty lost, the fragile soul, forever left behind

Oh, Laura, Laura, ghost in the mist
A scream unheard, a final kiss
Wrapped in plastic, lost and gone
The heart of Twin Peaks, forever drawn
To a mystery, a sorrow's sigh
Beneath a weeping, troubled sky

Laura...
Twin Peaks...

We Live Inside a Dream
Do you hear it? The hum in the air
A low thrumming, a silent prayer
Machines are breathing, a rhythm so deep
While the world around us continues to sleep

I've traveled far, beyond the stars
Seen things that shatter minds and break down bars
The waiting room hums, a symphony of dread
Places that aren't, inside my head

We live inside a dream, a fragile scene
Reality fractured, nothing is clean
Time is a river, bending and breaking
Awake or dreaming, what are we making?

The Lodge awaits, with secrets untold
Shadows dance where the story unfolds
Cooper will come, he'll seek the truth
But will it save him, or steal his youth?

We live inside a dream, a fragile scene
Reality fractured, nothing is clean
Time is a river, bending and breaking
Awake or dreaming, what are we making?

Remember the fear, the trembling hand
Trying to grasp what I can't understand
The Experiment lurks, a primal scream
Lost in the echoes of a waking dream

We live inside a dream, a fragile scene
Reality fractured, nothing is clean
Time is a river, bending and breaking
Awake or dreaming, what are we making?

The Owls Are Not What They Seem
Gingham checks and cherry pie
Under a neon, sleeping eye
The coffee pours like midnight oil
The cream is thick, the sugar, soil.

The bell above the door chimes sharp and clear
A sudden silence, then a wave of fear
A familiar face, but the eyes are new
And they're looking right through you.

Welcome to the Double R, where the timelines fray
Where the special of the day will make you stay
The pie is sweet, the coffee's black as space
This is a waiting room, a familiar face.

He talks to a log, she cries in her booth
They're stitching together a terrible truth
The jukebox plays a backwards tune
Under a plastic, dusty moon.

"Is it future... or is it past?"
"The man... from... another place..."
"There's a fish in the percolator!"
"GARMONBOZIA!"

Welcome to the Double R, where the timelines fray...
Where the special of the day will make you stay...
The pie is sweet, the coffee's black as space...
This is a waiting room... this is a waiting room... this is your face.

"Every day, once a day... give yourself a present."

Is It Future, or Is It Past?
A whisper in the void...

The scent of pine, a twisted dream
A red room bathed in crimson gleam
A face I know, yet can't define
Is this memory truly mine?

Is it future, or is it past?
A fleeting moment, built to last?
The threads are tangled, time undone
Beneath the gaze of the one-armed son.

A photograph, a fading smile
Lost in the labyrinth, mile on mile
The same old questions, echo deep
Secrets the shadows vow to keep.

Is it future, or is it past?
A fleeting moment, built to last?
The threads are tangled, time undone
Beneath the gaze of the one-armed son.

He knows. He sees.
The truth is a phantom, caught in the breeze.
A pawn in a game, where do I stand?
With this empty sleeve, and blood on my hand.

Is it future, or is it past?
A fleeting moment, built to last?
The threads are tangled, time undone
Beneath the gaze of the one-armed son.

Cherry Stem Smile
"Audrey... is it you?"

Streetlights bleed through the diner glass
A familiar face, a subtle change
This borrowed skin, it fits me strange
A cherry stem I can't un-knot

Is this a dream, or a memory's stain?
Lost in the gloss of a silver frame
A flicker of hope, a hidden wire
Burning low through the velvet fire

Audrey, Audrey, a story untold
Dancing in shadows, brave and controlled
With a cherry stem smile and a calibrated gleam
You're the protagonist of the beautiful dream

That little black book, a digital ghost
While the town sleeps, I'm what it fears the most
A secret handshake, a dial-tone code
On this recursive, forgotten road

Is this a dream, or a memory's stain?
Lost in the gloss of a silver frame
A flicker of hope, a hidden wire
Burning low through the velvet fire

Audrey, Audrey, a story untold
Dancing in shadows, brave and controlled
With a cherry stem smile and a calibrated gleam
You're the protagonist of the beautiful dream

"Don't you want to know who you are?"
"Don't you want to know who?"
"My reflection's a loaded gun..."
"...pointed at the one I've become!"
"Through the labyrinth, I find my way."

Audrey, Audrey, a story untold!
Dancing in shadows, brave and controlled!
With a cherry stem smile and a calibrated gleam!
Are you the protagonist of this beautiful dream?

"Audrey..."
"Beautiful dream..."

BOB
In shadows deep, where secrets reside,
A twisted smile, nowhere to hide.
BOB lurks near, with eyes of coal,
Stealing your soul, taking control.

The wind whispers tales of fear and pain,
A darkness descends, like a haunting rain.
He feeds on sorrow, a sinister game,
BOB is the devil, calling your name.

Beware of BOB, he's watching you,
In every mirror, his gaze breaks through.
He'll twist your mind, and lead you astray,
BOB will haunt you 'til your dying day.

The red room beckons, a velvet despair,
Where victims gather, caught in his snare.
He dances with demons, a macabre delight,
BOB's wicked laughter, in the dead of night.

The owls are watching, they know his game,
A cycle of terror, forever the same.
He feeds on innocence, a sinister art,
BOB tears you open, and breaks your heart.

Beware of BOB, he's watching you,
In every mirror, his gaze breaks through.
He'll twist your mind, and lead you astray,
BOB will haunt you 'til your dying day.

Gotta catch him... Gotta stop him...
Before he consumes us all...
He's inside... He's always inside...

Beware of BOB, he's watching you,
In every mirror, his gaze breaks through.
He'll twist your mind, and lead you astray,
BOB will haunt you 'til your dying day.

BOB... BOB... He's always there...

Garmonbozia
(Whispers) Garmonbozia...

The scent of fear, a bitter taste
In a world where innocence is erased
The cherry pie, a sweet facade
Hiding secrets, a dark charade

Two hearts entwined, a twisted fate
A love consumed by burning hate

Garmonbozia, the pain and the sorrow
A feast of tears for a dark tomorrow
The owl flies at midnight, the red curtain falls
In the shadow of the Black Lodge, where darkness enthralls

A homecoming queen, a broken smile
Lost in the woods, for a little while
The red-haired girl, with eyes so deep
Promises whispered, secrets to keep

Two hearts entwined, a twisted fate
A love consumed by burning hate

Garmonbozia, the pain and the sorrow
A feast of tears for a dark tomorrow
The owl flies at midnight, the red curtain falls
In the shadow of the Black Lodge, where darkness enthralls

"With the owls, we have secret knowledge of these woods."
A flicker of light, then swallowed by the gloom
The spiral turns, sealing the doom

Garmonbozia, the pain and the sorrow
A feast of tears for a dark tomorrow
The owl flies at midnight, the red curtain falls
In the shadow of the Black Lodge, where darkness enthralls

Garmonbozia... gone... forever...

Time Stands Still
Sidewalk glows, a hazy sheen
Street lamp hums a lonely scene
Shadows dance, a whispered plea
Lost in dreams, eternally

Time stands still, in faded light
A fragile dream, in darkest night
Floating away, on currents deep
Secrets the city softly keep

Rain descends, a silver veil
Washing over, stories frail
Every drop, a memory's tear
Whispering doubts, and hidden fear

A distant train, a mournful cry
As hope takes wing, and starts to fly
Through empty streets, and silent squares
Chasing echoes, on the air

Time stands still, in faded light
A fragile dream, in darkest night
Floating away, on currents deep
Secrets the city softly keep

Softly keep...
Dream...
Eternally...

Place Out of Time
This is the waiting room.

Shadows stretch long on the floorboards, worn and creakin'
Where the air hangs thick with a silence that's speakin'
A single bulb flickers, a tired, yellow eye
Reflecting a world where the moments just die.

And we wait, for a sign, in this place out of time
Where the colors are muted and the logic's a crime
The clock on the wall, it ticks, but it never keeps pace
Just the echo of footsteps in this strange, empty space.

A silhouette moves in the periphery, a flicker, a ghost
Is it friend, is it foe, is it what we need most?
The whispers they weave through the fabric of night
Searching for answers, bathed in pale, spectral light.

And we wait, for a sign, in this place out of time
Where the colors are muted and the logic's a crime
The clock on the wall, it ticks, but it never keeps pace
Just the echo of footsteps in this strange, empty space.

The dancers they twirl, in a dream, never waking
Their movements precise, but their souls slowly breaking.
The coffee is black, and the pie tastes like dread
Is this real, is this a dream, or something unsaid?

And we wait, for a sign, in this place out of time
Where the colors are muted and the logic's a crime
The clock on the wall, it ticks, but it never keeps pace
Just the echo of footsteps in this strange, empty space.

The waiting room... always the waiting room...
(Static crackles and fades to silence)

A Place Both Wonderful and Strange
The scent of pine, the taste of coffee
A town shrouded in mist, secrets untold

He drove into Twin Peaks, a stranger in town
With a keen eye and a troubled brow
Looking for answers, lost and profound
In a place where darkness seemed to grow

Shadows dance in the periphery
Whispers carried on the wind
The dream's a factory
Where reality begins and ends

Special Agent Cooper, a logical man
In a place where logic has no plan
With a kindness for pie and a steady hand
Unraveling the threads that he can't understand

He met the locals, quirky and kind
A diner filled with gossip and schemes
A dark undercurrent, hard to define
Lost in a world of peculiar dreams

Shadows dance in the periphery
Whispers carried on the wind
The dream's a factory
Where reality begins and ends

Special Agent Cooper, a logical man
In a place where logic has no plan
With a kindness for pie and a steady hand
Unraveling the threads that he can't understand

Doppelgänger walking, a cruel, mirrored glass
The perfect, kind soul and the man from the past
Which one is the shadow? Which one is meant to last?
A single, bright moment, forever held fast.

Special Agent Cooper, a logical man
In a place where logic has no plan
With a kindness for pie and a steady hand
Unraveling the threads that he can't understand

Twin Peaks, a riddle, a haunting refrain
Cooper's journey, a timeless, haunting strain
The coffee still brews, through sunshine and rain
The mystery lingers, again and again.

Surrender Your Warmth (Roadhouse)
A flicker of light… down a hallway of dust.
A smile too wide… in a frame of rust.
The sound of a scream… wrapped in velvet and lace.
I found your secret… in that hollow space.

I found your secret… beneath the floor
That familiar smile… I can’t ignore
You breathe in slow-motion… I taste the glow
Now nowhere’s safe… and no one knows

And it feels so strange… so terribly true.
I’m falling down… deep into you.
A world of whispers… behind the door…
I don’t wanna know… anymore…

So surrender your warmth… to me, my love
That tender fire… you’re so proud of
Let the darkness pull you under
Let our silence tear the night apart…

And it feels so strange… so terribly true.
I’m falling down… deep into you.
A world of whispers… behind the door…
I don’t wanna know… anymore…

Pale Blue Dream
Pale blue light, a velvet hush descends
Whispers soft, where reality suspends

Coffee stains and cigarette ash
Another night where memories crash
Against the shore of what used to be
A love so deep, it swallowed me

Blue descent, a fading dream
Lost in the echoes, it would seem
Twin Peaks calling, a siren's song
Where did we go wrong, where did we go wrong?

The diner's closed, the neon's dim
Just shadows dancing, on a broken limb
Of hope and trust, now left to fade
In this lonely town, a love betrayed

Blue descent, a fading dream
Lost in the echoes, it would seem
Twin Peaks calling, a siren's song
Where did we go wrong, where did we go wrong?

The owls are watching, from the trees
Whispering secrets, on the breeze
Of promises broken, and futures lost
A heavy price, a painful cost

Blue descent, a fading dream
Lost in the echoes, it would seem
Twin Peaks calling, a siren's song
Where did we go wrong, where did we go wrong?

Pale blue dream, fading away
Into the darkness, of yesterday.
Yesterday...

We're All Just Dreamers
Cobwebs cling to velvet skies
Streetlights hum a lullaby
(60 cycles in the wire)
Is this real or just a show?
Lipstick cracked on a porcelain cup
Coffee cold from an hour ago

Cracked reflections in a darkened pane
Neon buzzing in a pool of oil stain
Lost in shadows, can't find my way
The transformer hums through the walls today

Ooh-ahh, ooh-ahh
(Wordless, ethereal, floating like smoke)

We're all just dreamers in a waking sleep
Lost in echoes, secrets we keep
Who's the dreamer, behind the curtain?
Living in frames that flicker uncertain

Red curtains sway in a vacant hall
A flickering bulb, 60 cycles and all
Twisted faces in a smoky haze
Lost in the highway's endless maze

Cracked reflections in a darkened pane
Neon buzzing in a pool of oil stain
Lost in shadows, can't find my way
The transformer hums through the walls today

Ahh-ahh, ahh-ahh

We're all just dreamers in a waking sleep
Lost in echoes, secrets we keep
Who's the dreamer, behind the curtain?
Living in frames that flicker uncertain

Deeper and deeper, where the highway bends
Unraveling truths that the map intends
A whisper, a shadow, a flickering sign
Are we just puppets on a 60-cycle line?
Static speaks in a dial tone voice
We have no choice, we have no choice

We're all just dreamers in a waking sleep
Lost in echoes, secrets we keep
Who's the dreamer, behind the curtain?
Living in frames that flicker uncertain

Dreaming, dreaming, 60 cycles hum
Into the static, where the wires strum
Who is the dreamer?
Who is the dreamer?
